I am trying to find the name/artwork of a photographer who manipulated multiple images and put them all in one picture. For example, in one of his photos it looks like cars are driving on a freeway directly through a giant tree. Another one is of a large river running through the middle of the streets in a big city. Long before Photoshop or digital, he was creating images that I can't begin to say enough positive about.

It's Jerry Uelsmann, he was doing combinations of photos long before photoshop was thought about.

Ansel Adams did photos that appeared to be photoshopped, but weren't.
