How do i select one person in photoshop?

I have a detailed picture, i want to take the girl in it, and place it in another picture. I have no idea how to only select the girl in it though. Any ideas out there?How do i select one person in photoshop?

try using lasso tool and select around object, copy, then in other image paste in new layer over top, then once in new layer, move adjust size, color, and erase overlapping edges,

that's depend of your experience with photoshop, and what version do you have, first duplicate the layer and then you can use the pen tool when you done the selection click the right button of your mouse and click on make selection, then invert the selection (shift+ctrl+i) tip when you done your selection you can refine using quick mask just clicking (Q) and use the eraser toll after this use this to feather your selection and make a softening of 2 pixels (feather alt+ctrl+d)


and just click del on your keyboard and their you have. but are some many ways to do. if you have the cs3 version thats have a new tool to make quick selection and very easy.
